Since we have lots of time to fill and the kids love to cook we have taken to baking this summer. So far in the last 3 weeks the kids and I have made homemade: pumpkin bars, m&m oatmeal cookies, chocolate chip cookies, angel food cake, and brownies. We try to share most of our creations with our friends so we don't overindulge ourselves :) The kids don't realize it however, but this is my way of reinforcing the reading, direction following, math, and patience skills (mostly for Mom ha ha!). Scott is loving this kind of home schooling.
