Disney Vacation

 

 

 

 

Since everyone had Friday off from work and school we decided to take the kids to Disney for the long weekend. We left early Friday morning and got back Sunday night. We got to stay at the Pop Century Resort right on Disney property. We made it to all four parks in just three days! On Friday morning we hit the WinterSummerland Mini Golf course...a special request from Danny. Scott and Danny both got a hole in one that day however I think the girls scored better over all...Ha Ha! That afternoon we headed to Hollywood Studios and stayed for the Osbourne Spectacle of Lights show as well as the Fastastmic show (my personal favorite of all the shows at Disney). Saturday we got up bright and early and went to Magic Kingdom. The lines were not bad at all that day in fact Lindsey, Danny, and I rode on the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad ride a record 5 times in a row!!!!! Danny also rode Space Mountain for the first time and thought that was awesome. Saturday evening we headed over to Epcot and got to see the Candlelight Processional with a guest reading from Isabella Rossellini. The Candlelight Processional is the retelling of the story of Jesus' birth from the book of Luke accompanied by a 50 piece orchestra assemble. I thought it was beautiful...the kids would have rather been riding all the roller coasters but they sat through it as a sweet gesture to me. We ended our weekend with spending Sunday at Animal Kingdom. While dropping from the highest point on the Mount Everest ride Danny screams to me, "this ride is a definite must do Mommy!" The kids were super all weekend and kept thanking Scott and I for the great vacation (I'm not sure what got into them but lets keep the thankfulness coming! ha ha)
