We had some awesome company this past weekend! Our sweet friends, the Cairney Family, came for a visit. We have known Doug, Keri, Kate (10), and Ben (7) for over 9 years. We all went to the Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines together and were in a small group with 3 other couples for several years when we lived in Iowa. Keri and I have kept up on all the happenings of our families through both of our blog posts. It is amazing how 2000 miles of distance can seem so small between friends :) The Cairney Family were vacationing with Doug's parents in St. Augustine and took two days out of their vacation to drive over to Gainesville to see us. We were so thrilled to see them and the kids had a blast playing together. The Cairney family made it in time to see Danny play basketball Saturday morning, we went to the park, and then tooled around campus and showed them the Gator football stadium. Sunday morning, we enjoyed a great service at our church together and got to all eat lunch together before they headed back to St. Augustine. Thank you, Cairney Family, for taking the extra time out of your family vacation to come and visit us. We had a blessed time with you and are so thankful to God for your friendship!
