Happy 8th Birthday Lindsey
Our darling Lindsey turned 8 on Sunday! I can't believe that our little sweet girl is a big time 8 year old already. Holy cow where has the years gone (although some days have felt like years! ha ha) One Friday, Hilary and I baked and decorated cupcakes and took them into her class to celebrate her special day early. Lindsey requested beach themed cupcakes so that is what she got! Hilary had a ton of fun helping me and the little umbrellas were a big hit. Since we had an extra long weekend we decided to take a family vacation to celebrate Lindsey's birthday. We left early on Saturday and headed to Orlando for the day and stayed at our favorite Marriott resort right by Seaworld. The hotel has a fun zero entry pool and splash area which the kids really like. We brought Lindsey's presents along and we had a pizza party in our room that night. On Sunday, we treated the kids to a day at the Kennedy Space Center. We have all been wanting to go and Lindsey was so pumped to spend her birthday day there. I had been there several years ago and boy has it changed. There are now 2 Imax theaters, a ride simulation of a space ship taking off, lots of new buildings and exhibits, and of course the cool rocket garden. Lindsey had a great birthday and loved all her cards, phone calls, gifts, and best wishes from all of you! She is an absolute joy and is really maturing into such a special young lady. She loves to read, draw, and spend time with her family. We are ever thankful to God for blessing us with her as our daughter. Happy Birthday Lindsey and thank you for the best 8 years of our life!
