Amelia Island

The kids and I got to tag along on one of Scott's business trips last week. It was the Geogia Independent Agents Convention held on Amelia Island, Florida. We spent 5 days and 4 nights at the Amelia Island Plantation Omni Resort. We had an awesome beach front room with a perfect view of the Atlantic Ocean. The beach was just a short walk over a wooden walk way. The picture above was taken from our hotel room! We have never stayed right on the beach before so this was such a wonderful treat. We spent our days at the beach, at the pool, exploring the island, and we even got to take some cool classes at the Nature Center right on the resort grounds. The kids got to meet the resort Parrot and had fun trying to talk to him! They also got to make their own shark tooth necklaces at the Nature Center. All of us took a shark tooth hunting class with two guides who helped us look and find our very own shark teeth we got to keep! Scott and I had two nights out attending some work functions and the kids had a blast participating in the kids camp held right on grounds. It was an awesome vacation and such a great way to start off the summer :)
