Fort Myers, FL with Grandpa and Grandma Paulson

Scott's parents, Arlan and Linda, decided to escape the snow in Iowa and thaw out a little in Florida. Destination...Fort Myers, Florida just north of Naples on the Gulf of Mexico. We met them down there over the long President's Day weekend. We left on Saturday right after the kid's Upward games and stayed through Monday afternoon. We made the best of the beautiful weather. On Sunday morning, we played 18 holes at a rather challenging golf course...more challenging for some (Scott) than others! Ha Ha Let's just say, I think Scott went head to head with Hilary for some of the holes. Hilary even made two hole in ones! It was mini golf of course and the kids had a blast playing with Grandpa and Grandma Paulson. After that, we hit the beach on Sanibel Island. The water was a little cold but the sun was hot and the sand was perfect for making sand castles. After we got all cleaned up, we all went out for dinner at Parrot Key. A fun open air restaurant with a pirate theme! Scott's parents treated Danny to a yummy birthday cake and we celebrated his birthday early Sunday night in our hotel room.
