I have really been praying over the concept of showing your love to your kids through good old fashioned T.I.M.E. based on Max Lucado's book (see below). I feel I am blessed to have lots and lots of time with my kiddos. Some days I feel more blessed than others...Ha Ha! What is missing however, is individual time with each child. A few weeks ago, Scott and I decided to really focus on planning activities each of us can do with the kids on a one on one basis. In the last two weeks: Scott has taken Danny golfing and played 9 holes, Scott took Lindsey out for dinner and to a UF Gymnastics meet, I took Hilary out for lunch and to the museum, I took Danny out for ice cream and played Wii Super Mario brothers (for what felt like hours ha ha), and I took Lindsey to another UF gymnastics meet and out for Moe's dinner just the two of us. It has had a real impact on the kids and we are so grateful that at this time they still actually what to spend time with us. Wonderful idea to spend individual TIME with Lindsey, Danny & Hilary. Beautiful way to build their characters and to really get to know what they are thinking, how they are feeling, and to grow deeper in love with each of them as they are such a precious gift from GOD. I miss you all!
