Scott's parents, Arlan and Linda, came for the second half of Christmas break. We had a great time celebrating Christmas and the New Year together (kind of...I'll share more later)! The kids were so excited to have Grandpa and Grandma Paulson come to their house. We had a fun filled week and even managed a trip to the infamous Satchel's Pizza place. This was Arlan and Linda's first trip to Satchel's and I don't think it will be their last. On Thursday we headed out to look for gators at the La Chua Trail and we certainly were not disappointed. There were lots of gators out that day and we got a great photo of Arlan and Linda and the grandkids. Scott and I even got to sneak out for a date night which was fabulous. I didn't exactly get to bring in the New Year with my family this year. I got a terrible stomach bug in the middle of the night and missed all of the New Years Eve day and New Years day celebrations. I was so glad Arlan and Linda could be here to have fun with the kiddos and help Scott out a ton while I was stuck in bed...oh the timing of it all! That explains the lack of photos during the visit since Scott doesn't snap as many pictures as I do. Arlan~ I will have to get some pictures from you if you don't mind! The rest of the visit was filled with a trip to the retired horse farm, the Manitee Springs State Park, and Scott and his folks even squeezed in a day of golf. It was a great visit and we are so grateful for the time together xoxo
