4th of July

Happy 4th of July! Scott and I both tried to give the children a history lesson on what the 4th of July is and what it means to our country. Needless to say, I think the children still believe 4th of July is all about fireworks and sparklers! It sure is great to be an American and enjoy the whole country celebrating its freedom...something we should do everyday. We had plans to go to the beach however it was rainy and cloudy over both coasts so we decided to stay at home for the three day holiday. We took in the MiCanopy parade on Saturday morning. The kids came home with so much candy. We had planned to go to the Fanfare and Fireworks show on campus Saturday night but it was pouring down rain so we stayed home. We did manage to sneak in two pool trips and some bike rides in between rain showers. It was great to be all together over the long weekend. Hope you all enjoyed the 4th and God Bless America!
