A Visit from Grandpa and Grandma Paulson and the Pumpkin Ranch

Scott's parents, Arlan and Linda, got to come for a visit this weekend.  Scott and his folks golfed on Friday afternoon. That night, Linda and Arlan watched the kiddos and we got to go on a date...yes I said a date...and it was awesome!  We enjoyed dinner out and a movie and had so much fun just the two of us.  On Saturday, we headed over to Grimes and got to see Laura's (our niece) last soccer game.  She played great!  We all went out to lunch together with Scott's folks and his sister's family: Sara, John, Jared (14) and Laura (10).  After lunch, we headed over to the Pumpkin Ranch in Winterset, IA.  It is a really fun pumpkin farm and definitely has fun activities for the older kids including a zip line, big slides, hay bale obstacle course, horse back riding, and corn maze.  Scott and I hosted dinner for everyone over at our house on Saturday night (sorry Sara we missed you!).  Then on Sunday after church we headed over to West Des Moines and went to the Trunk-or-Treat at Lutheran Church of Hope with Jared and Laura.  We hit a few parks on our way back home and then carved our pumpkins on Sunday night.  It was a super fun weekend and it was such a great visit with Grandpa and Grandma Paulson.  Thanks for coming!
