First Day of School

 

 

 

 

Monday was all three kid's first day of school! Everyone was excited to get back to school. Scott went into work late so we both could walk everyone to their classes that morning. It was so bittersweet and both Scott and I were sad to see them off for the new school year. Summer is so short and the school year is soooooo long. This is the first time in over 8 years I have had the house to my self for a few hours in the morning. It is something I have looked forward to (some days more than others :) but it is so sad at the same time. Everyone always says this time with little ones goes so fast and they are absolutely right. My sweet friend from Iowa coined the phase, "there are long days...days that seem like they will never end but the years are short." How true that is...although we are so happy they love school it is hard to let go...even for a few hours a day. On a lighter note~we are very happy with the teachers Danny and Lindsey got for 1st and 3rd grade. I think they are going to have a great year. This is Hilary's first time in preschool so we weren't sure how she would adapt. She loves it of course and feels like such a big kid getting to go to school like Lindsey and Danny.
