Well, spring break here ends tonight and it is very bittersweet. The time went way to quickly and I am not ready for the kiddos to go back to school. Good news is we only have 9 1/2 weeks of school left so we are on the home stretch now. As you can see from the previous blog entry my mom came for the first half of spring break and Scott took vacation from work for the second half. We had big plans to spend the last part of the week in Tennessee roaming the Smokey Mountains and staying in a cabin. Well, life got in the way and we chickened out of the 11 hour drive with 3 small children so we will put that vacation on hold and try again when the kids are a little bit older. We also tossed around other ideas such as the Kennedy Space Center, Jacksonville Zoo, some Tampa destinations but at the last minute we decided to stay put and have a "staycation." God must have known we needed to stay home and reconnect just the 5 of us and we had a great time together. We went through our attic and put the kids on a mission to donate, donate, donate. We have been blessed and it is time to bless others so needless to say our home is a few hundred pounds lighter now and it feels great! Scott took the big kids golfing twice, we went to the park, rode our bikes, saw a Gator baseball game, had family movie night, and took the kids strawberry picking at a strawberry farm right outside of town. We felt relaxed and refreshed and got to make some great memories right here in our own town!
