We enjoyed Labor Day weekend and the kids especially loved the extra day off from school. We did "labor" on the weekend and pulled out a huge overgrown scrub in our front yard. The kids had fun watching mom and dad work and especially had fun bug hunting in the newly turned up dirt...yuck! We also "dejunked" as Scott would call it...the house and the attic. The kids of course, hate to part ways with any toys even those free from our favorite Scottish restaurant (McDonalds Ha Ha Arlan)! It feels so good to organize and downsize and let others get some use out of the things we no longer need. As a reward for all of our hard work we took the kids to Animal Kingdom for the day. It was hot but we had fun and ended the day with a yummy dinner at Rainforest Cafe right outside of Animal Kingdom. Scott took an extra day off of work on Tuesday and went along on Lindsey's first 2nd grade field trip. It was an all day outing to Camp Crystal just outside of Gainesville. They hiked, had a picnic lunch, and studied three different eco systems. Lindsey was so excited to have Daddy join her class for the day. Now back to work and back to school as usual.
