Last week I was so ill with the stomach bug that I spent 4 straight days in bed. To cheer everyone up, Scott and the kids went out to
Lowes and purchased and installed a
bird feeder for our backyard. A line in a famous movie (set in Iowa) once declared, "If you build it...they will come." Sure enough they have. Here is a picture of a
beautiful male cardinal at our new
bird feeder. My mom and Scott's grandmother are great bird lovers and they have certainly passed that gene onto our family especially to Scott and Lindsey. Enjoy the photo and ponder Matthew 6:26
Look at the birds of the air; they do not sew or reap or store away in barns, and yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

what a beautiful photo....we also have been taking note of the birds around lately - I just love listening to them singing to me on my morning walks! hope that you are feeling better.....are your girlfriends coming this weekend? Love, keri
